Selling out of date batteries

I purchased a 9v battery for a set of scales for my business from Hiper Bazaar in Pizarra Malaga Spain. When placed in the scales it did not work. I have the battery tested with an electyronic machine and was told the battery was dead and out of date since April. I have since been back to complain and the chinese man (playing on his gaming phone or similar) laughed and said you have opened it - we do not change or give money back. I have since been back to the same shop and asked for another battery the same and so has a friend. It seems all this particular battery in the shop are out of ate from April. I spoke to a Chine lady today and was told all batteries were good to sell regardless of date. Would not give a replacement or even look at the date on the product. We will not buy any of these products again. Its not the cost but the attitude. They know they are all out of date but are selling to customers regardless thus giving your company a bad name. The damage will not do your business any good once other people stop buying products from this and other similar shops.
