Miscellaneous

I ordered a free sample like many others on this site believing that the only cost would be the postage and packaging at a cost of £1.99 for each item. There was no mention of terms and conditions or a 14 day cancellation period. The first I knew about being scammed was when I received a credit card bill with £84.71 taken twice in 2 transactions along with postage total of £8. I immediately contacted the company who advised that I wasn't even on their system but then changed their mind and advised as I was out of the 14 day cancellation period they would not refund any amounts, nor would they accept returns of the product.
I tried to cancel any further orders however was advised this was not possible as it was running to 30 days since the initial order. I called the bank to cancel my credit card only to be informed another 2 payments have been taken of £89.66 again with the postage in addition. I gave credit card details believing I would be afforded some sort of online protection but it seems this company has become experts on conning people and get away with it. They need to be stopped as the money is one thing but the amount of emotional distress this kind of thing causes far outweighs that. It's clear once the cream arrives that no sane person would pay that amount for a cream of this standard or size. The company is obviously trading with the express purpose of duping the public.
