I was contacted via US mail stating that through a loan modification program that my mortgage would be reduced up to $550 and to contact the phone number given. Doing so I contacted this supposed law firm who would be able to help renegotiate my mortgage, and being that I had been recently laid off I was desperate and figured to give them a shot. There were 2 payments roughly 30 days apart in the amount of $1495 in the form of an ACH check. After doing that they kept in contact with me for a couple months and then never heard from them again just that it could take up to 10 months to renegotiate and approve. Called after that time frame and numbers were changed and some other company already had the phone set up for some other company. Emailed the addresses that were emailing me previously and all I got was an auto response "Dear Client:

We are sorry that we cannot serve you further. Unfortunately, due to court order, the firm is closing and we cannot service any clients.

Clients are to be referred to another agency pursuant to the court order, however, such details of the referrals have not been supplied at this time by the firms who brought the injunction.

Any entity that referred your file to the firm is still operating, to the best of our knowledge.

We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience."

To which i responded i want my money back and then got another auto response "
This is an auto-response."
