I have used this online flower delivery service four times in the last two months and have had a 50% success rate with on time flower delivery.
My first account was with my best friends 50th birthday. I placed the order July 29th for delivery on August 1st. The order was FDE-z109B. I was unaware that there was anything wrong with the delivery until she called to tell me she did not receive them until August 3rd. I was so embarrassed! No one from the online delivery service notified me of any issues yet charged me the full price for the delivery. I called to complain and they said they were going to give me a $40 credit which meant nothing since that is an online delivery incentive to any customer at this time.
My second issue happened today for my Mother-in-Laws FUNERAL! I ordered the flowers August 31st to be delivered no later than 10am this morning. I followed up with a phone call September 1st to confirm the flowers would be delivered on time. She guaranteed me there would not be an issue this time. I called again this morning after seeing the flowers did not get delivered by 10am as promised and was told they were in route and should be there between 10 and 11am. I still had not received any call from the online delivery service. Finally at about 1:30pm I called to cancel the flower delivery since the funeral was over and they were never delivered. I was MORTIFIED!
This is just unacceptable! I would like to offer a couple of suggestions for the company. I've been in customer service and I know what customers deserve. If there and been communication between the online service and the florist to see if the florist could commit to the delivery, neither instance would have happened. Also, as a customer, I would appreciate to have follow ups on the status of my orders. I do hope I get some resolution to these ordeals. Offering to cancel one of my orders and a $40 incentive is just not enough.
