The authors of Dungeons and Dragons: Neverwinter (and not only this game) are misleading their customers.
First of they made a game based on the concept of Free to Play (F2P), with lots of items purchasable in the game for outrageous prices, like a single item, a mount usable in the game e.G., ranging from 25 - 35 EURO, which is absurd.
More important is the fact, that they change descriptions of purchased items. Not so long ago I, along with many others, have purchased items, which at first they stated could be unbound from one character and transferrable between characters, even the tooltip in the game stated the same, even though was not working. Many purchased an item in hopes they would be able to transfer it later. Some time ago however the makers of the game decided to remove the tooltip and change several other tooltips in the game, altering a lot of content descriptions without any reasoning.
Then there is the concept of Lockboxes, an item, which, when opened with a specific key purchasable from their so called ZEN market, an in-game shop containing items purchasable for real money as well as an in-game currency called ZEN (currency balance 1 EUR = 100 ZEN at current rate), should give a reward, while the chance that one would get a reward is close to 0. They made it based on the concept of slot coin machines "Vegas style", you insert coins, but you hardly ever win anything and are soaking life savings this way out of people. There are people in the game who've spent around 1000$ only on these keys and have got nothing useful in return from them, so the chance they would get something is less than 0.*%, which leads to the conclusion, that they are conducting fraud in the open.
