On approximately 5/11 I was contacted by UIU and aggreed to pay $500 for 5 years of advertizing with the guarantee that I would receive a full refund if I did not receive a booking within the first year.
At that time I asked for a written copy of the guarantee and was told that I would receive it from their accounting department. I never received it.
One year later I did not receive any bookings and only 3 inquiries. I submitted a refund request and received a letter denying my refund claim because I failed to comply with the guarantee requirement to file a quarterly report of rental activity.
When I called their claims department they said that I did not file a quarterly report and directed me to their on line guarantee requirements which include paragraph 30. H as follows:
30.2H The Advertiser must provide at least quarterly reports during the twelve month period of the agreement, which shall include the following information: invoices of all transactions for each property listed and booked, reservations and booking information for each property, and a detailed accounting of all revenue generated for each of the properties listed through this agreement. If no reports are provided the company reserves the right to use a conversion ratio of 5 inquires equaling one booking and this will be the deciding factor.
Well I sent an e-mail point out that I only received 3 inquiries and asked them to send me proof that I had received 5. They sent me a list of 6, however they were for the wrong property.
When I pointed out to them that it was a list for the wrong property they stopped communicating with me.
