Met this 'Alex Skurt' on dating website, originally gave me an email of alex. Skurt@yahoo.com. Called from a magic jack # 434-282-1338 Over the course of 6 weeks, he had convinced me to send him approximately $4000.00 of my own money and 'gifts' for his daughter, playing on my heart strings that she lost her mom. Then convinced me to have his client send me a cashiers check for $4000 owed to him while working in Spain so he could finish his job and come back to US. Checked arrived from Canada. Once I deposited check, (thought it was verified thru bank since its cashiers check) and sent him money, the check bounced and I had to come up with the $ to replace or lose my business. Wiped out my entire savings. He was horrified of this happening and promised this was NOT his fault. Yet never said anything about why his client sent bad check or offered to replace it, just tried to get MORE money. Then tried to get me to open a checking account with e-trade so he could transfer his retirement money and come back home to make it up to me. During all this. His 'poor child' got sick and needed operation, nanny died, etc etc. Kept in contact ONLY to try and recover my money. But sent nothing more. When I asked for proof of his 'retirement account' he could offer nothing. Supposedly sold everything to pay for sick daughter, no access to account #'s, blah blah. I offered help in finding his information, no response. Also stalked me on LinkedIn and sent emails thru that account and when asked ' someone hacked me, its not me its not me' and changed email to skurta@yahoo.com. When I finally called him on the fraud. He ADMITTED it was fraud but he threatened me. Like he has a conscience, and lost something. His good name? HA. After all that. I typed in his name and found this website with 3 complaints. Wish I had done that before trusting this vial human. Yes I feel like an idiot. But I only hope this complaint will keep someone else to fall victim of this despicable excuse for a human being from scamming anyone else.
