I was looking for a job on Craigslist and Volt Database Solutions appeared. I applied and they replied back, asking me some very basic questions. They offered to pay me $17/hr, but wanted to put me through a 'test of trust' that they would send me a check and I should deposit it in my bank account until it 'cleared'. This was very suspicious, so I had people who specialize in fraud investigate it; and sure enough, they were operating somewhere in Africa. Luckily, I found out before any real damage was done - so far.
