Landmark at Grand Meadows
Excessive water and sewer charges

My name is Paul Gilbride. I live in Virginia. My son goes to Florida Institute of Technology (FIT). I rent an apartment for him at The Landmark at Grand Meadows in Melbourne, FL, which is right across the street from FIT.

My son has been home from school since May 10. The apartment complex charged me $92 for water and sewer last month. This month they have charged me $107. No water or sewer were use for my apartment. This is highway robbery.

There have been a coulpe of water main breaks at the complex and they are trying to stick the residents with the bill.

The units do not have individual water meters. The bill I receive is from AUM. Landmark at Grand Meadows nor AUM can tell me how many gallons of water they are charging me for, nor can they tell me the rate per gallon of water.

I have a 4500 SF house in VA. I have 4 bathrooms, a hot tub, and the kids wash the cars all of the time. My bill for water and sewer for three (3) months was only $111.

How can Landmark at Grand Meadow charge me for water and sewer usage when the cant tell how much water is used. I demand a water meter be installed on the apartment. Who can I speak to about this unfair practice?
