I have been in a home modification for the past 5 months. I sent all paper work asked for and paid them a fee for the work of $3500.
Now that my house is on the line I find out this is a scam. They were good about keeping me informed until the past month. I have been calling to get information and the line no longer works and the agents line says mailbox full.

Is the whole world one big scam? Being self employed I wasn't able to get a refinance and now I have nothing to go forward with.
