My partner/spouse and I applied to the HUD-VASH program first in Menlo Park but which voucher and cap ($1200) precluded housing since the income could not match a $2,000 one bedroom. Sought to transfer the voucher to Sac County. Dealt with Rancho Cordova Mather whose reps (1) are abusive verbally; (2) untruthful and (3) abuse the HUD funding for their own special interest groups.in Sac Co. Denied the app (we never filled out) when met criteria. The program is a scam entirely. With all the abuse from the VA on Vets when enlisted, in active duty and later, do not use the program but align with advocacy for vets another way. HUD can be sued for the statewide misconduct of each VASH program unlike the VA who has its special court program. Note: there are thousands, millions of unpaid claims by vets, my partner is from airforce Nam years; he has PTSD, etc., qualifies is now 69, and he applied for increase in his claim, in and it still has not been processed, four years. It is time to undo all the abuse by the USA Military in all respects.
