Miscellaneous

Ordered Nuwave cookware off of television ad early morning July 4th, one day shipping offered and checked. Changed mind and tried to cancel on July 5. They told me it was impossible. Sent an email telling them I was canceling my order too. Again July 5, they sent a Fed Ex tracking number, checked on it and it was not in the system. Called them again, told them about the tracking number, told them they still had the merchandise, pull it and cancel it, they refused. Sent a follow up email stating I canceled the order, I would not be accepting shipment of the order and I was contacting my credit card company because I not paying for a canceled order. Again they sent email stating they could not cancel the order, I could try out the cookware for ninety days and then return it less shipping and handling charges. Now we are at the heart of the matter. They charge you around $125.00 to ship their merchandise to your home and they get to keep it when you discover the infomercial you watched is phoney. The cooktop does take time to cool down wherever a pan has come into contact with it. You need special pans, a magnet needs to be able to stick to the pan. If you use a small pan you have a problem. The list goes on, they send you a copy after they think you have received the cookware.

Today is 07.11.13, the cookware was suppose to be delivered yesterday, so much for one day delivery. I have written numerous times canceling the order only to be told, impossible. The tracking number finally showed up in Fed Ex's tracking system 7.08. five days after the order was placed and canceled, so much for one day shipping. I called Fed Ex and put a stop delivery on the package. The cookware is now winding it's way back to it's original owner and they had better not charge me a dime. They better not send me another order.

Government needs to do something about lying mail order companies. They are fleecing the public right and left.

I have sworn off ordering anything I see on television. I have sworn off ordering anything from Living Social because if you get a faulty product from them, it's yours. They could care less.
