Miscellaneous

I have AVG antivirus and other programs installed on my computer. Yesterday, AVG simply disappeared from the computer. I called AVG customer support. They said I needed AVG tech buddy and transferred me. The voice told me all about AVG Tech buddy which I found out later is run by GuruAid, and the voice talked me into giving him my credit card details for a year's subscription. I did this, stupidly, but I was in a corner. About 2 hours later Guru re-installed the program. I phoned twice and asked them to send me an invoice/receipt, spelling my email address over again. I am still asking. I posted my request on facebook and GuruAid asked me to communicate by email. I did, repeating my request. I discovered the year's subscription price I paid was about $200 more than the price listed on the Guru website. GuruAid then sent me one of those elaborate emails which hopes to 'address the problem". They did not send the invoice/receipt and did turn their mind to the question of the price I paid for a one year's subscription. I will now take it up with VISA and will write AVG's head office so that they will know who they are associated with.
