Service cancelled but no refund

The service renewed automatically after 1 year of subscription. I was not using the service hence did not want to continue the subscription. Since this was an annual subscription, they had the terms and conditions that they will deduct 25% of the paid amount and refund the rest. My cancellation request was submitted and the Case Reference number was: #00144568. I even received confirmation emails that my request has been received. After waiting over 30 days for a refund to appear on my statement, I contacted Watchindia support through their website on May 6th. A support representative (Samir) even replied that it may take 30 days for a refund to be issued. When I replied that its been 30 days already, there was no response after that.

After that, I have been leaving messages on their website to no avail. Their support phone numbers have been removed, their live chat option is unavailable. I found their phone numbers in an old bill and called up but the numbers are all inactive.

I think the company has shut shop and vanished with the money. I don't have any hope of getting this back as I had used my debit card to pay for the service initially. Hence I cannot dispute the transaction at my bank also. Wish I had used my credit card back then.
