I carried a stack of my book that proved to be useless to my research. One was an overlarge book on the artist Velasquez with its original plastic cover and not damaged in any way.
For all the books (and most were old anthropology or archaeology books, I receiveda chit for $1.25.
Which when I took it to the register for a new book ($9.99.82 tax that totaled $10.81, register receipt nuimbered 0002807045), the charge for my VISA was $10.81. Strange, that I bought back my own books but no one gave them back to me.
I had excellent help from one of your employees, the one that rang up this sale finally.
But the register did not allow for my cash credit from the books, not even the #1.25
Under Payment Type it read Cash $1.25 Visa (*/ref 43957018) $9.56
and the amount collected was $10.81. That is very strange bookkeeping if you ask me.
Oh, yes, it does add up that way. BUT what was the credit for "to look good."
I did make the comment that the employee in the back who did work the books over
did not lie very well when she told me that the Velazquez book was worthless.
