Miscellaneous

I had a call today from a fast talkin American man by the name of Bill Greco Junior offering me a fantastic holiday package. It did seem a bit unprofessional, when I answered the phone, he was yelling "shut up" to someone, I stopped for a second and thought "what the hell" kids probs screaming in the background while he's trying to rip me off. He gave me the spiel, he was good, I'll give him that, usually I don't give them the time of day but he did keep me on the phone somehow. We went through a hole pile of blah blah, me asking what the catch is, saying I am suspicious of all phone and online offers. Anyway I did say it seemed like a good deal, he waffled about some $299 amount but the package was for $798 for 4 ppl, round trip to nowhere no doubt. He then put me on to Daniel O'Brien to verify me, he went through a similar spiel, all I had to do was attend a seminar, then crunch time, I was waiting for it, I said I couldn't afford $299 right now, he said no I need $798, I'm like right well I'm not giving my credit card details over the phone now. I want to be able to check you, he says do it while I'm on the phone, I'm like "no, I need to check you out when your not talking to me". He started to give me a million reasons why he would not be a scammer, doesn't sound Nigerian, wouldn't spend half hour on the phone costing a call if he wasn't legit. I did point out quite easy to have a plan where it costs him nothing that's not proof. I explained to him that as aussies we are learning to take more personal responsibility with online and phone fraud, therefore, I would need time to do my homework, no c/c details until a later date and I would need a return number so I could call him. He then said "thank you, have a nice day and hung up on me" Really as lovely as they seem on the phone, be ruthless, just hang up, don't even bother, their very friendly criminals and that's all
