The students are told to lie on their applications so that American families are more likely to host them. Students are told to omit various allergies and dietary needs. This becomes a burden on the host family.
They are also lie to about the level of activities that ISE will provide. The students come to the USA expecting a certain amount of travel only to find out that the $8000-10000 their parents paid doen't get them anything. Additional trips are extra.
