PDL Recovery Services
Consumer Report

Miscellaneous

A PDL Recovery Agent called my wife today at her place of employment over a past due debt. First we are filing bankruptcy, second the agent said he was calling from an attorney's office. The attorney he claimed to work for is a Real Estate Lawyer. As a Graduated Consumer Law Student (waiting to take bar) and former collection agent myself this agent that called broke many, many laws.
1. Misrepresented himself.
2. Lied, said that she would face criminal charges for debt.
3. Refused to to call Bankruptcy Attorney when referred (Collection should cease immediately when notified of BKO)
4. Threatened to tell my wife manager her situation and cost her her job as she works in bank.
5. Tried to force her to let her speak to her manager. When she refused he put her on hold called the branch back on a different number.
6. The bank branch records all phone calls. I certainly hope this company does to, I plan legal action. There is a special place in hell reserved for people that try to abuse, intimidate, and lie to people that are obviously in a hard place.
