Bad pouring caps on the salad dressing bottles

My family is wondering why you switched caps on the squeeze bottle salad dressings? The old caps allowed to squeeze the amount you wanted on to you salad. Now the cap comes off and the entire top of the bottle is open and dressing just pours out. Much more than the normal person wants or needs on their salad. We would like the old caps back on the bottles.
