My husband and I have been Rogers Customers for over 20 years and with the introduction of the IPhone several years ago, switched over to their subsidiary which is Fido.

On our account we have two Iphone 5 and the original Iphone 3 for our daughter.

Yesterday I spoke with a Fido Representative who told me I could obtain a Galaxy Ace 2 phone for my daughter’s birthday for $20.00 in Fido dollars (Sherry with conversation ID-I617319539) Today I spoke with Bridgett who confirmed this and told me as soon as my bill payment of $235.00 cleared I can finalize the transaction (Bridgette – Conversation ID-I617646485).

I was told that I would pay with Fido Dollars and the contract would stay the same. It would extend the life (add another 2 years but no other changes)!

Now Fido has changed their collective minds! They tried to charge me double and when I said that it was wrong - I was that I was not eligible to get this offer. I spoke with the least concerned manager (Mohamed) and it just ‘can’t be done’! If I had paid double would it have been done?

How many people are charged double to obtain service?
