Five Caviar Blue drives dead and recertified replacements also dead

Purchased five Western Digital 500GB Caviar Blue drives. Used two within the first couple weeks of ownership. Other three sat on a shelf. Went to use the remaining three and all we're dead. Paid money to RMA them and received three more dead "Recertified" drives. We're out at least $150 for the drives plus time plus postage.
