Today I received a renewal statement from this company regarding my discover magazine subscription.

I renewed my discover magazine last year. There should be no reason for me to pay more money at this point in time. They claim that they want me to pay them because new stand magazine prices will go up in the next few years and that they have the cheapest prices available.
It is clear this is an attempt to get my credit card info. I do not know if discover magazine gave out my information without my consent or if it was leaked somehow (both are very bad cases), but every thing about this letter reeks of scam.

The letter looks unprofessional (like a write up in microsoft word) and there are quite a few typos that a professional company would never make.

There is nothing legit about this. I did not ask for this, I did not sign up for this, and I never gave them my information.

Do not give them your credit card info. This is a scam.
Their current phone number is 623-466-5043, I guarantee it will change within the next few days from this point in time.
