Called them for the balance on my credit card account, I sent a check for the amount requested, I called to verify they received it and the account was closed and in good standing, they said Yes.
Then later there a dollar was still owed and they somehow forgot to add it to the balance payoff and they must have been to embarrased to call me so, it sat there being late for 6 months then I happen to get a free credit report in Dec. 2007 and found it, I called and asked what's going on! They said it was generated by their system after I paid/closed their account and they were sorry and were going to take care of it.
Now the credit reporting agencies show the 150 days late delinquency, and that has affected my nearly perfect credit score.
