This same company took £100 deposit, but the rep (designer) said if I cancelled it WAS refundable. Alarm bells rang when my cheque (made out to her) came out of my bank the same day!
I Googled the company and there was loads of complaints about scammers, damaged goods, the owner being investigated by Trading Standards etc
So I sent a letter by Registered Mail to cancel the agreement the next day (i was told you could within 7 days and get refund) but the letter could not be delivered as it was a post box address, no-one there
I emailed the company, and asked for my refund, and attached a copy of the Registered Mail receipt, but have had NO acknowledgement
I also rang and was on hold for 20 minutes (with a rude receptionist)!!! I will persue it with Tradinf Standards
* The website is also fraudulent, as I first Googled "kitchens direct" which led me to "solid wood kitchens" offering complete kitchens with appliance and granite worktops, for £995, but when the lady came, her book had "Lancashire interior home designs" on it
I believe the owner Martin Sersen has been known under another name, Vince Miller, and had several different names for his kitchen company
