My husband received a letter in the mail, which was enclosed in a Home Depot envelope. I knew it was a scam the moment I read it, so I went on the Internet to find information about it and found this site. The letter states that his name was attached to an entry and that he has won $250,000. Enclosed was also a check for $3,645 to cover taxes, insurance, and shipping and handling fees. There is a number that he is instructed to call and instructions to follow. Of course, we are not doing any of this. I just wanted to make people aware that this scam is out there! The telephone number listed in the letter is 1-289-892-4838.
