Groupon-ruining businesses while making millions off them

I work for a company that used Groupon to sell deals. It sounded like a great idea but turned out awful. Groupon called us a year after we applied after they had done a certain deal with another similar business that was a totally ridiculously insane great deal for customers where they would pay one amount and get to come back for services as many times as they wanted within a long time period and wanted us to do the same deal. My manager wanted other options but they said it was that or nothing since it had done so well. They also only gave us a week or less to prepare saying it was that or nothing. My manager agreed to the deal. What people don't realize is you have to put something on Groupon for 50% or less off and then Groupon takes half that by not doing much work and not caring about the business or the people involved in it. Of course the deal did extremely well (which means for them) while we lost money. We don't have the room to accommodate actual paying customers anymore ad Groupon still calls us to do more deals and suck more life out of us. Groupon is ruining and devaluing my career choice so much so I now have to go back to school for something else because I see no hope for the future. I think Groupon can help businesses when the deal is pay this for this amount worth of services where it truly is more like a coupon but we were not offered that type of deal. I also as a business they used have suffered poor customer service and I don't know if they have a high turnover but we have gone through several "account managers" within the past year. They have also given some of our customers refunds without notifying us. A lot of the customers coming fom groupon are awful as well, pretentious and feel entilted to free and cheap stuff all the time. It's been a horrible experiance, I don't want to give them a dime of my own money. I am writing this on my slow phone so sorry for any errors.
