Double charged for the same address

I hope Verizon actually responds to my case, fingers crossed!
I was charged a bill for $64.90 prior to closing my account.
I paid the bill in full.
Then, Verizon charged my roommate $64.90 for the same months, for the same address.
Verizon didn't even send him the bills, he discovered the charges on his credit report yesterday.

I need someone from Verizon to help me resolve this. My friend is complaining because his credit score is ruined because of this fraudulent charge.
