I received several phone calls from this company stating that I was pre-qualified for a loan up to $5K, which raised a red flag right away... Legitimate lenders to provide funds this way. I asked him if there were any security deposits required before they made the funds available to me (prior to giving any of my personal information), they said they wanted me to put $190 on a GreenDot card so they can verify that I have the first monthly payment (another Red Flag). I asked why a supposedly legitimate lender want to verify funds through a third party source that has nothing to do with my credit worthiness? When they meet with too many challenges from me they hang up.
The interesting thing is that they are not well organized and call back trying to run the same scam... They forgot that they called me only 30 minutes earlier.
I've also received a call from them when one of their reps tried to justify the using a GreenDot card by saying they could not check my banking information because of the bogus 1856 Banking act (no such act pertaining to Banking practices), when I told him no such act exists he changed it to 1863. I looked it up while we were talking and the Act of 1863 pertaining to Banking pertained to an Act of Congress in the year 1863 that say's that during the Civil War banks were backed by the government... He promptly hung up. No legitimate lender wants money prior to providing a loan. Amazingly as I'm typing this I received another call from them... Unbelievable!!!
Don't trust this company or companies with these same practices!
