Miscellaneous

On march 20, I responded to an ad on Craig's list from Agata Withfields. She had a camper for sale for $1700.00. She responded to me by email with the details and informed me that she was in the Ebay purchase protection Financial Department. She informed me that the total cost of the camper was $1700.00 and that she would have it shipped to me at no extra charge. After I received it, I would have 5 days to examine it, and if it wasn't to my liking, I could return it to her, without penalty and I would receive my money back.
I then received instructions from EBAY with the following transaction # 12285565037480. I was to send the money in a money gram to their broker/attorney: Michael Eugene Sanders 709 Orange Avenue, Daytona Beach, Florida 32144. I proceeded to do this and followed their instructions. March 29, EBAy confirmed the receipt of the money. April 1, I received an email that the broker was involved in another transaction and the money would be returned to Money Gram and I could pick it up. They stated that since it was their fault, the money owed would be dropped to $1530.00 [ 10% taken off] with the same conditions. I had to send this to their attorney/broker Brunno Kungerro 338 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown, NJ 08505. This was to be sent through Western Union. This payment was sent and confirmed by EBAY on April 3. On April 8, I received an email from Agata Withfields "I think we have a problem" The shipment is on hold. The shipping company wants $1050.00 security deposit, This will be returned the same day the camper is delivered. I also received an email from EBAY.in this email it was stated that $1050 security deposit will be reimbursed the dame day the merchandise is received. The very next line states it will be reimbursed within 48 hours of receiving the shipment.in another place it states that if you decide you do not want the object, and it is returned damaged, repair will be done out of the security deposit at $50.00/ hour. At this time, I decided that I did not want the camper. This was the first and only time a security deposit had been mentioned. I emailed both EBAY Protection and Mrs. Withfields that I had decided against purchasing the camper and requested that my money be returned to me [ $1530]. I have not had any emails from either Mrs. Withfields or EBAY since I emailed them that I did not wish to go through with this purchase. I might have felt differently if the security deposit had been mentioned at the beginning, but was told by both parties that the $1530.00 was the total owed.

I really feel that this is a scam and would like my money returned.

Marshall A. Crowningshield

I do have copies of all correspondence between myself, Mrs. Withfields, and EBAY Protection Plan.
