Miscellaneous

I met John on match.com. He says he is self-employed. He works on offshore oil rigs all over the country. During the 3 months we communicated he was working off the shore of Aberdeen, UK. During this time there was an accident on the rig that killed two and injured four. He told me he went to the house of the two that died to console their family and gave each family $30,000. The he had to buy new equipment that was broken. He tells me the UK started a new tax on all nonresident contractors. They had to pay 10% of the fee, for him it was $450,000. He said that he had no money because of the accident and that he was owing to have to call of his colleagues for help. He says he came up with the money except for $3000 and asks me to help out the rest. Then he is going to wire his check from the company to his account in the states, but the bank needs $22,000 for transfer fee. Then the day he was to come back to Dallas, he eats some peanuts and is put in the hospital because he is allergic to peanuts. The doctor has his passport and will not give it back u until he pays his hospital bill, $1500. The hospital bill gets paid and now he is ready to come to Dallas and now he says he needs the BTA, Basic Travel Allowance, $800. I never heard from him again.
