Consumer Report

I purchased a truck through Auto Trader and paid through eBay. I now realize, after more research, that the 'seller' and truck did not exist. I wired the money to England based on directions from the fake 'eBay'site.

I have not been able to get through to the bank in London, Barclay's but I did report it to the CIBC (my bank), and am in the process of putting together documentation to make a police report. I will also be sending all the information to eBay and Auto Trader.

I take responsibility for not doing the due deligence that was required but I have dealt with both Auto Trader and eBay in the past and trusted them although I now know I was dealing with fake sites. Hopefully this site is not a scan too as I don't want to be burned again.
