Steven Sears, and a group of people pose themselves as business consultants, attorney (Sears), company advisors, company agents inc. Etc.
I have been doing business with them unaware that they are scammers and crooks.
In Dec. 12 I needed to close a business they set up for me few years back when I wanted to create a small business in Europe. Because of the bad climate for business outside the US, I decided to transfer the assets and close the established company. Corpadvisors (Sears, Nora/Norma Hoskings (who appears to change names often) set me up with a new corporation in New Mexico.
The funds from the old company were to be transferred to a new account in the US which Sears & co-conspirators were to deposit in the new company.
The funds were transferred via Chase Bank of Irvine, via Company Agents Inc. However, the funds were never transferred to the new company.
Since I indicated I want to use some of the funds to payoff some mortgages I have, Sears and co.indicated that they can negotiate a lower balance with them. They also indicated that they have done this type of negotiations before and have a good rate of success.
After continuous contact with them regarding the negotiations with the mortgage companies Sears & co.indicated things were going well and the prospects were very good.
Nevertheless, because of several weeks of no action, I contacted the mortgage companies and found that no contact has been made by them.
I then proceeded to look for information on Sears & co. And found that this company and employers were already convicted of scams and fraud. Also, Sears has been disbarred and jailed along with the other co-conspirators.
Then, I started to contact them and demand the funds. For several weeks I'm not able to succeed. When I talked to people there, they claim they know nothing about it.
The last time I talked to Steven Sears on his cell phone, he claimed he was in a fishing trip in Mexico but he had left instructions with his people to wire me the funds.
Nothing has happened, no one at the office claims to know anything.
I have started filings with several agencies and I'm waiting to hear from those agencies.
I will like to contact any of the other victims to determine the outcome of their cases...
