Room, and construction notices

Dates wrong here, it only goes to 2012. Our stay was last week Mar 27
We were required to prepay for the room and no notice of ongoing construction/renovations were given at the time reservations were made. The room was nearly $200 for the night. We gladly paid in advance for HGI stay but the room was very plain jane for the costs.
The construction going on without any notice to us was just bad. Wake up to back up sirens from construction equipment and had workers dumping stuff out the window from the room right below us before 8 A.M.
Our plans WERE to join your rewards credit card program but thinking differently now.
