I joined CM on or about 3/15 as a way to look for a good hearted Christian man. I was contacted by many, but one drew my attention, softcoolheart. I started communicating with softcoolheart, (who was supposedly a Civil Engineer, widower of 5 years with a daughter, Lisa, 15. He gave me his name in email as Michael Rizzo. Everything seemed to be well, we discussed likes, dislikes and life in general for a week. Suddenly he had to go to Africa for 8 days on a road project he had bid on that was not going well. That was on 3/26. The next communication I get from him is that he needs $1470.00 immediately in order to get his funds he transferred from his bank. I was suspicious, but I do know things happen abroad. All the while he kept texting me about how he really needs his "baby", how we are a "team" and how could I not help him. I told him if he was such a good businessman, why would he leave the country without any money in his pocket. I was lucky enough to know when someone has played me before giving them money. It really breaks my heart to think that people are out there to garner a friendship only to take advantage of them.
