Phmills, who told me his name was Chris Murray, was definitely a scam. This guy claimed on his profile, to have been a widower for 8 years, and to live in Los Angeles. When he asked to begin chatting with an instant chat feature, to get to know each other, I agreed. However, it didn't take long to figure out that something was off. He was only emailing me in the middle of the night. When we did finally "chat", he then said he was a widower for 6 years (not 8) and that he worked a lot in the U.K. (so he was gone at least 2 weeks out of each month, so he wanted to know how I felt about a long-distance relationsip), and said he was from "Northern California" - I said I thought he was from "Los Angeles" and he said "Yes, I am". I then said that L.A. Is NOT in Northern California. He then asked if I lived alone. The conversation was already very odd, and his speech patterns were not that of someone whose first language is English. I immediately stopped communicating with him. I reported the incident to Christian Mingle, who just sent me an email encouraging me to read their suggestions on how to stay safe the next time that happened. I immediately discontinued my membership.

In my communications through this site, the only other person I have communicated with turned out to be married. The others who were sent to me as a "100% match" were NOTHING at all like I was looking for. I specifically stated in my "Introduction" that in order for me to consider someone, they must "welcome yours" in the section regarding children, as I have two. MOST of the profiles that were sent to me as "100% matches" were men who stated they did NOT want children or did NOT want more children than they already have. It was just a huge, huge waste of time and a lot of frustration.
