Contacts disappeared from phone and Apple ignoring the problem

All of my contacts just disappeared from my phone. After searching online for solutions it appears that a lot of people are having this problem and Apple is ignoring them and pretending like it doesn't exist. This is potentially catastrophic for my business as all of my contacts are stored on the phone and now I can't access any of them.
