Miscellaneous

In feb we purchased a 35 month trial membership in Absolute Destinations which was to cost 4000 Euro
and would give us 8 weeks luxury accomodation and some possible short stays at various resorts. This was sold over a 5 hour period as the way to get to know the company. We were told that 92% of new members went on to invest in fractional investments in luxury resorts with members privileges and a steady 6 per cent return. As we are nearing retirement age this sounded good to us. Trouble is when we got home and looked at all their resorts and read trip advisor reports from holiday makers the reviews were terrible. Then we got on to scam sites and found pages and pages of dissatisfied customers who had bought various products in Phuket, Koh Samui, Hong Kong and previously Spain. We heard the nice resorts people were initially shown are never available and others are offered which of very low quality. We think we have been had.
If this company is dishonest about the resort booking process as all the scam sites suggest then they are unlikely to be honest with investors money either. At least in Australia there is legal recourse from some fraudsters. All we can do from here is refuse to pay them rest of the contract. Reportedly they often refund money in return for silence agreements after threats re breaking a supposedly binding contract.

Disapointed
