Levi Strauss & Co. Jean Quality - Levi 501

I am an avid fan of the Levi Jean look, but in the past year and a half, I have gone through 4 pairs. All 4 have ripped at the crotch. Now I am am not a very active person. Especially when I am wearing Levi's. I usually wear them to look nice in, not to do any strenuous activities in which ripping of the crotch would happen. I learned about Levi Strauss back in middle school, the man who created a new type of canvas jeans for the gold miners to use, that were tough and durable. First that was 160 years ago, and second, my pants ripping from just walking around is ridiculous. I don't want to switch but economically and logically it what I should do. I hope for better Levi's
