I too have entered in an agreement to pay $39.99/monthly for 24 months and unlike the others who have complained about VIP Readers Services, I was perfectly fine with paying the monthly charge, I have for the past 15 months. What got me pissed off is that their agents became annoying pest as they kept calling asking me if I wanted to extend my subscriptions. I told them no... Then they wanted to know why. Was it because I didn't like any of the magazines? No. Did I want to reduce the number of magazines I have coming to me? No. I said I did not want to extend and to let my subscription end and to let it be. But no... They keep calling. They call my home... Which I began blocking the numbers. They are very persistant. They must have called me from about a half dozen numbers. Then they called my cell phone while I was in traffic. I just so fed up with them, I decided screw it and cancel the whole thing, which by the way they said I could do anytime. Sent them a letter to stop my subscriptions and to stop charging my credit card. My complaint about the phone calls got them to supposedly take me off of there calling list. They stopped charging my credit card but sent me an invoice. They also sent me a notice that they can help me in my "financial hard times", by setting up a reduced monthly payment. Well I just sent it back with a note that I am not paying it and do not plan on paying any subsequent bills they send me. I also sent them a second letter. Let them send it to a collector. I dare them. Should have known better then to get invovled with this kind of promotion.
