Miscellaneous

I ordered a Hydrawhite and a Whitening Fast (same company) trial on the 25th February. I was lead to believe I would be charged a total of £1.68 each. On checking my account on the 2nd March there were four separate debits to the company, £2.58 twice, and £0.05 twice. I let it go, because it still wasn’t a huge amount. I cancelled the subscriptions online that day, as I had intended to do anyway, as it said you can cancel within 14 days and you won’t be charged for any more products or be sent any more.
I didn’t worry about it, but on getting a statement on the 7th March I had been billed another four charges, this time £6.27 twice and £0.12 twice. Altogether I have paid £19.72. I did receive the samples, but due to no visible expiry date and the suspicions raised due to the overcharges I decided not to use the product. For all I know the ingredients could be anti-freeze and they may have had these samples in storage for years. So, I technically got nothing for my money.
I live in England so it was impractical to call the company in Vegas or send the products back, as it would only be at further cost to me.
I put it down to experience. I have now changed my account to stop them taking any more money in the future. I feel stupid for even clicking on the advert and accept I shouldn’t have taken a chance on an internet promotion before looking up reviews. It isn’t right nonetheless. Definitely a scam and I wouldn’t trust the product itself for those who did receive it.
