Unknown Person - Internet Fraud

I had sent out an email to my friends informing them that my mother had passed away. My friends and relatives live in the US, Germany, Britain and Australia. Many of my friends received the following message in either English or German: "Urgent, send money right away so I can fly to Britain to bury my mother"
This is fraudulent, I did not request any money. The emails were send so as if I had been the originator. My email is (Personal Information Removed)
I changed my password immediately. I am 70 years old.
