Cobb Couny Water System
Unable to stop service - happened today 3/6

My husband and I have water service for our home. We are moving out of state and I called to stop the water service and was told I couldn't because I wasn't the name on the account. They could only talk with my husband because that's whose name is on the account. At no time during the 13 years WE have had service with them, or when we first initiated service, did they ever tell us that BOTH our names needed to be on the account in order for either one of us to talk with them about the account. I pay the bills every month, we are married, and we live together at the service address. Now he has to find the time while he is out of state to call to stop the service—utterly stupid!!! I am SO GLAD we are leaving here!
