Miscellaneous

Supposedly on November 19th of 2012 I had some sort of phone conversation that was recorded. I do not remember the call or agreeing to any phone service and I am downsizing and would never ever agree to more phone advertising.

I was astounded to receive a phone call from this company stating that I owed 892.39 for a past due amount and that I was being sent to third party collections. They claim that I agreed to the two month trial, declined the $125 discount and agreed to pay a $70 a month payment annual. I am a tiny business in a small town. I do not know how this could happen.

I called them and they sent me to a woman named Tiffany, always the same women, whom is very aggressive and threatening. She says if I don't pay it they will send me to collections or the other option is that I pay $700 to get out of 'my contract.' I have never signed any contract. I do not know if a supposed voice contract will hold. I was ready to make payments. They have called me back many times when I stalled, to see what else can be done and if this is happening to anyone else and apparently I am not alone. I don't know if they can ruin my credit like they are threatening on some phone call I don't remember having.
What should I do?
Sincerely,
Lisa Wetmore
