Miscellaneous

I purchased a AVG 1-year virus protection in March. On February 26, I noticed two unauthorized charges in the amount of $46.99 and an ETF Fee for $3.00; both unauthorized transactions for AVG.com Nicosia. I was NOT notified by AVG prior to charging my account in nor was the one year service expired for the 2012 purchase. I have contacted AVG customer service at: (877) 361-2542 and was informed that a refund for the full amount of $49.99 will be credited back to my account within 7-14 days. I have also notified my Bank of this unauthorized charge who is on standby with a pending claim in case AVG doesn't honor my refund request. I have also calendar the date to notify me to check my account for this refund within the 7-14 day timeframe given by AVG. I informed AVG to never let this happen again unless I am notified or I personally authorize. I have cancelled the virus protection service with AVG to assure that they do not charge my credit card and have also received an email from AVG confirming my telephone conversation with them on today, Thursday, February 28. Thank you!
