Reading over some stories here, I see I got the exact same pitch from these ass clowns in October. I asked them quite a few questions, but I should have known when they were somewhat vague on which bank the card was coming from. I think at one point I was told "Bank of America." They offered me a digital camera too.interestingly enough, I don't recall being offered a Gateway Computer...
I woke up recently just bothered that I wasn't sure if these guys were legit. I was looking at the $354.90 coming out of my account soon and was just too uneasy to NOT look into it. I looked for a website but of course, none exists. I went to Bank of America's website, but there are no affiliates named First Link.By the way, B of A only deals with Visa. Then I found complaint in a roundabout way through a search.
Thank You for complaint! I called my bank and asked for a Stop Payment, which they are processing, although it may be too late, since it's less than 3 days before First Link scammers are going to try to withdraw the funds. My only other recourse is to close my checking account and open a new one, but is further complicated by my having Direct Deposit. AAAARRRRGGG!!!
