Saw an on-line ad for Veloura face cream and Bellagenix serum with photos attached - allegedly not re-touched photos of skin after treatment. Sucker! My 'free' samples arrived within 9 days (of the 14 day trial period) and when I read the very small print I realised that I would be charged nearly 100 euros per bottle if not returned within the 14 days. They would also continue to charge this amount every month, to ensure that I did not run out of this wonderful product...

The telephone numbers they gave to obtain the return code were non-existent - a foreign, recorded voice answered and then I was put on hold. I smelt many rats...

I immediately contacted my bank and they cancelled my card. They advised I write a registered letter to cancel the 'order' which I did, in order to comply with any legal obligation. I also e-mailed a copy to an American web-site address which featured on the ads.

I did receive my return codes and duly sent off the empty bottles - this was stated as being acceptable. This parcel was also sent registered mail. Total cost to me - about 20 euros and huge embarrassment!
