Miscellaneous

I found the ad on craigslist, emailed my resume and then i also called "Kimberly" "for faster assistance" around 230 2/19, who then setup an interview for 11am on 2/20. Oddly enough around 630pm a 516 number calls, it was Maxwell asking if I was still interested in the job and I told him yes I already had setup and interview with Kimberly, now if they were on the same page he would've known that. When i got to the building the board in the lobby didnt even have a company name nor suite 700 listed and the guard asked me if i needed help i said yes im looking for suite 700 and he told me go to the 7th floor. When i walked in i signed in and filled out the form and was then called in by "Maxwell" who didn't even ask for my resume or ask me questions other than if i had a clean record and immediately started yapping about the courses and what they cost, i asked if this was guaranteed job placement and he said "yes after training you go straight to the job site and they will give u whatever uniform you need and you start right away" i ended up paying for the fireguard, 8 hr, 16 hour, cpr, and antiterrorist courses for a total of 419$. He said if you pay the full amount now he would waive the $80 registration fee, so i did. Now I had a few hours to kill before the fireguard class started that night. After the interview, paying, and leaving a few hours before class started I get yet ANOTHER call from "Crystal" asking if I was still interested... Really? My husband came home and did some research on the company name and found nothing but negative comments and "beware of scam" pages. A few hours ago my husband decides to call back maxwells number which happens to be crystals number as well 516-641-0400, five-one-six-six-four-one-zero-four-zero-zero, and a guy with a heavy haitian accent answers saying his name was TERRY and he has the wrong number, mind you Ive spoken to both crystal and max on that same exact number 2 times already. This place is nothing but (Inappropriate Content Removed) and I feel bad for all the people getting ripped off by this. I'm (Inappropriate Content Removed) that I lost that 419 but now i know never trust any job on craigslist or a job that requires you to pay anything. I hope these people get what they deserve. Hope karma gets you all and your family and destroys your life.
