Identified themselves as part of microsoft - windows - receiving error messages - they would like to update our system - need control of our computer - we granted it - 2.5 hours later they asked for money for upgraded service - we agreed - asked for $400 charged credit card company rejected - we belatedly realized this was an elaborate scam. Another telephone number utilized was 253-802-0308.

Suspect generated out of India.

Cancelled credit card - fraud alert registered - other steps taken to protect information they may have collected from our computer.

We are having our computer swept of items they loaded onto our computer.
