NTB: Shocks installation on 2003 Toyota Avalon - National Tire and battery (NTB)

I had brakes installed and they were making noises. I brought the car back to NTB three separate times before the noise issue was corrected. It was corrected because I insisted they use higher quality brake parts after I discussed the matter with a Toyota dealer's shop. However, on the third time NTB told me the noise was caused by bad shocks/struts and not brakes. Based on their advice, I had them replace the four original strurts with new Monroe's. The car rides like a truck now with the Monroe's. They now say the struts are fine and they will not replace them with better quality struts. Because they had a "special"; if you buy two struts they give you two free. They now say they will put on better stuts ONLY if I pay for the installation which is $470. The strut job cost a bit over $700 and now they want another $470 to fix the problem! The car NEVER needed new struts since the noises were coming from the brakes and not the struts. I have been doing business with this company for 30 years and now I am getting screwed. Maybe the store manager was not making his strut quota that week. I have had numerous tires and brakes purchased from this company and now they treat a long term customer like this. NTB sucks. Be careful when you use them. Always make sure what source of the parts they are puting on your car especially brakes. The brake parts they used that caused the noise problems where from China. They are using a lot of cheap Chinese crap to drive down expenses that are inferior quality and possibly dangerous. If you have an alternative to NTB or their other stores (Merchant Tires, etc) stauya away from National Tire and Battery. They are thugs and do not stand behind their work or parts.
