My wife received in the mail today an "Official Mail Delivery" (Form W098) notice from this entity. The notice advised her that she was eligible to win $2,000, 000; the mechanism to be used to confirm her a winner was not clearly set forth. She was asked to complete the Judging Sheet and return it within seven days, and was given an option of receiving an annuity or a lump sum payment. Only if she elected to avail herself of the Premium Offer, which entailed being given a gift card for discounted purchases, online, at WONrewards.com was she asked to send $11.89 along with her Judging Sheet.

It may very well be that this is a scam, but it is not one of those cases in which the recipient is required to send money in advance, at least in the initial instance. Subsequent mailings may involve a demand for money in order to proceed. While I recognize that others who have complained about this company may have been faced with different circumstances, my impression is that none of them read, and really understood, what they were being asked to do.
